The San Diego Processing Center Raid

Michael Donovan
Juliet Parrish
Elizabeth Maxwell (logging)
Heather O'Leary

Julie has a hangover from her date with Bates… and an attack on the San Diego Processing Center turns into a wild mess for all of our heroes!

Michael Donovan arrives from Dining Room.

Michael Donovan has arrived.

Juliet Parrish arrives from Dining Room.

Michael Donovan is at work in the kitchen for once, evidently in one of those moods where he needs to do SOMEthing lest he go completely bonkers. While his culinary repertoire is somewhat limited compared to others in the house, this particular entry from his personal cookbook doesn't seem unpleasant to the olfactories.

How she managed to drive out here after last night, and not hit anything (including the ditch) on the way is a miracle. Juliet drags herself into the kitchen, the scent of cooking food drawing her. A hand to her head, she looks like she had more than just dinner last night.

Elizabeth Maxwell slips up from the basement, glancing around quietly. Seeing the two in there, she pauses, glancing back downstairs. She hmms a moment, then walks across towards the fridge.

Michael Donovan looks away from the skillet he's been tending to and over to the form that staggers into the kitchen. His eyes flash quickly with concern as he sees Julie is less than a hundred percent. Moving towards her, he exclaims, "Julie! Are you okay?" Naturally, he assumes Julie's wobbly state is something other than what it really is, since precious and few are the moments he's come across a hung-over Dr. Parrish.

"Fine…remind me to put some of the foundation's funds into coming up with an alcohol counter-acting agent for the human bloodstream on Monday, would you, Mike?" Julie mutters, moving towards him with a wry smile. "I'm afraid I didn't realize the bottle Elias gave us was the real deal."

Elizabeth Maxwell blinks over from the fridge, and the mountain dew she was getting, to look over at Julie then. "Ouch…" She smiles a little, but doesn't comment further, simply slipping quietly back for the stairs.

Michael Donovan nods an affirmative to Julie's request. "That's surprising," he adds. "Usually, Elias is pretty infamous for watering his drinks down, especially with as hard as some of that stuff is to come by these days."

Juliet Parrish nods faintly, moving to bring herself right up against Michael, leaning against his body so her head rests on his shoulder. Clearly, she wants to be held. "The food was good, and the champagne was good, but I kept wishing you were there rather than him," she admits softly. "It was good being watched by Elias though…I think he gave us the real stuff to see if it'd loosen Bates' tongue."

Elizabeth Maxwell pauses and glances over from the door to the basement, then. "Sounds like something that could have easily backfired. At least no harm was done… aside from the hangover."

Michael Donovan wraps an arm around Julie, in part to keep her steady, but mostly because he wants to hold her as much as she wants to be held. "Well," he says with a smile, "I've got dinner going. It might not be candlelight and violins, but it's a step in the right direction, I think…"

Juliet Parrish rolls her eyes, nodding as she looks over and blinks. "Oh, Liz…didn't see you there." Shit, she didn't want her to know what was going on. "Yeah, I don't think Elias expected me to drink much of it. But…it worked out alright." She turns her gaze up to Michael. "Hook, line, and sinker for now." she offers to him cryptically. "But I think I need to lay down…"

Elizabeth Maxwell laughs a little bit and shrugs. "your vision's probably still a little blurred, if the way you sound is any indication. Probably best to sleep it off a while longer."

Michael Donovan nods again, and looks over to Elizabeth, briefly gesturing over to the stove. "Can you keep an eye on that for me?" He seems more concerned about getting Julie off of her feet for now, before her body decides to force the issue.

Juliet Parrish smiles faintly, smirking across at Elizabeth. Yes, better she thinks she's still drunk than anything else. "Don't let it burn," she warns. "It's not often he manages to cook something edible." She winks at the 'child' before leaning up to kiss Michael's chin. "Let's go."

Elizabeth Maxwell nods and smiles. "Sure thing. Better get her to bed."

Michael Donovan keeps his arm around Julie, but doesn't do anything too cavalier like pick her up, since he was yelled at for threatening to do that very same thing a couple of nights before. "Hey!" he protests softly. "I've cooked before." Of course the standard male definition of 'cooking' usually means preparing something that requires more than two steps, so in Donovan's books, preparing Pop Tarts would be considered to be technically 'cooking.'

Elizabeth Maxwell keeps trying to check the whatever it is in the frying pan, to make sure it isn't burning or doing something else that might be even worse. Considering who was fixing it, after all… Doesn't peek at it too much, though, concerned that it might react in some unexpected way.

(Later That Night)

Heather O'Leary arrives from Dining Room.

Heather O'Leary steps in, looking tired. Liz might have noticed that she left rather early this morning, without a run, and her truck has been gone all day. She moves to the fridge, and pulls out something that is odd for her, something with alcohol in it, a Beer. She pops the top, and drinks it down without stopping. When she finishes, she lets out a huge sigh, and says, "Not doing that again… Next time, someone else recons the Visitor Processing plant…."

Michael Donovan appears to be putting the finishing touches on something dinnerish, which seems remarkable for the man since it doesn't appear to have set off any of the smoke detectors in the house. "Nicely timed, Heather. Kick off your shoes, take a seat, and chow down, why don't ya?"

Elizabeth Maxwell hurries over to Heather, to wrap an arm around. "Sorry it was so rough… You going to be all right?"

Heather O'Leary nods to Liz, and says to Mike, "not to be rude… but those Plants are conducive to a loss of appetite… They don't just Put em to sleep anymore… they…." She closes her eyes, and almost whispers, "…butcher them for use locally as well…"

Michael Donovan winces visibly at that. "Okay," he replies, "Maybe not-so-nicely timed then…" He looks slightly guilty for even attempting trying the 'dinner thing' now.

Elizabeth Maxwell mutters slightly. "It won't be for long. When's the earliest we can hit the place?"

Heather O'Leary shakes her head, "Not your fault Mike… I didn't exactly tell anyone I was headed to San Diego for the day…" She sighs softly, and says, "They have some heavy guard shifts… And they don't appear to shut down at night. We'd need at least 10 people to go through one Guard Position, and they would have to be crack shots with Silent Weapons… Otherwise, we'll need 30 People, minimum to get inside, and set explosives. I got in with the Uniform and Voice Altering thingy…" She sighs, "We have enough Uniforms to get a full team inside though, and once inside, it would be easier to handle, than going in from outside and assaulting. They have very sturdy doors, with solid locks. We could hold them off for quite awhile, while awaiting pickup from the Courtyard, or Roof Tops. San Diego's Mothership is already gone, and if we have a Squadship or two waiting for our call…" She shrugs, "The only problem is, I spoke to some of the Workers… To revive the people in the Cocoons…. Takes twice as long as it does to encapsulate them…"

Michael Donovan frowns severely at that, ever the non-believer in the concept of a 'no-win scenario'. "So we're at the same stalemate we're in with the Consulate mission. There's no way for us to do the sort of wholesale damage we need to while at the same time getting the people out unharmed." His brow furrowed as he thought things through further. "Rough estimate, Heather, how many people would you say they have frozen compared to those they… handle… live?"

Heather O'Leary shrugs, "If we hit around 6 in the Evening, that is when the Squadships leave for the Santa Fe, Mexico City, and Los Angeles Motherships, filled with both the Capsuled people, and the 'raw' stuff… At that time, we'd have less than 20 capsule to deal with, and 5 dead…"

Elizabeth Maxwell hmms a little bit. "Not good…" she considers a little bit. "Not good at all." she hmms a little. "Happen to hear how they get uncocooned, by chance? I'm figuring not, kinda wondering if we'll need to capture the inside intact, quickly and quietly…"

Michael Donovan rubs his chin as he continues to brainstorm, "Might it be worth our while to try cobbling a secondary team to try and intercept some of the outbound shipments? Maybe touch base with the resident resistance cells in those areas and see if we can coordinate something?"

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "You can reverse the Cycle, just by flipping a switch, or, if you don't have the machinery, we can bring them out, with the right command into the Computer terminal on the Cocoons themselves…. I Don't know the command though…" She glances at Mike, and "They go straight to the Motherships… That is what I heard. It is amazing what one can find out, just acting like you are supposed to be there… Having three stripes on your uniform also helps that." She sighs, "I don't think we can do anything about the shipments that leave, unless we wanted to shoot them down…" She personally, after today, isn't sure she could do it, even if Mike, Julie, Ham, Elizabeth, AND the President of the United States asked her, or even, ordered her to.

Elizabeth Maxwell sighs and shakes her head at Heather. "Unless it was also used as a diversionary attack. If we got in without a fight, and took the inside, it'd just be a matter of guarding the doors, and if we have enough people, assist the outside attack as well…" she hmms a little and scratches her head.

Michael Donovan pulls out a chair and straddles it backwards. "Then our priority should be shutting the place down. As quickly and permanently as we can manage. We'll save who we can," he adds, not liking how the remark conflicts with his 'leave no man behind' attitude, "but our main goal should be shutting the place down, and fast. The longer it keeps running, the more lives stand to be lost…"

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "We have to kill the Techs, take the Machinery down… C-4 should handle the Machines… Standard Ammo will handle the techs…." She shrugs, "We also probably should take out as many of the Shock Troopers as Possible. Maybe blast them from the Squad Ships on our way out…."

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit. "Suppose so…"

Michael Donovan looks from one woman to the other, "So how feasible would it be to sneak our way in, then fight our way out? Maybe have a dozen or so people in disguise to plant the explosives. Have a team of sharpshooters on the outside ready to trap the lizards in the middle…"

Heather O'Leary shrugs, "Pretty Feasible, but why not sneak our way in, with 10-15 people, and have our Pilots fly in a couple Squad Ships. We could probably take the base without a lot of work, and have the cocoons loaded onto the Squadships quickly. 20 People we *might* be able to save… Plant Explosives after the Techs are killed, and than take the Shock Troopers down as we leave…." She shrugs, "Could be inside for no more than an hour…"

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit. "It'd certainly be best, if we were to save the 20 inside…" She hmms. "How far are they from any fighter support, with the mothership not there?"

Heather O'Leary looks thoughtful, "At least 90 minutes flight time, I think…"

Michael Donovan nods in agreement with the way things seem to be adding up. "Use the ships as air support -and- our way outta there. Give us half an hour to get the hell outta there, give or take…"

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit. "I was thinking that if we were able to slip in before six, the fighters might be able to clear away the squad vehicles that would be taking shipments to the motherships. Then have them start attacking the shock troopers outside, to clear the way. If we could secure the inside quick enough, we could load them and get out of there with them ourselves. We'd need every last pilot to be flying something out, probably…"

Heather O'Leary shakes her head, "Those Squad Ships are too well guarded. At least 30 Shock Troopers in the Courtyard… They all go with the Squad Ships, one per ship…." That means 30 Squad Ships leave, and with 20-30 cocoons on the ships, and 10 of the butchered… Almost 1000 people a day, are lost.

Michael Donovan sets his jaw somewhat determinedly, "Which means we have to act fast."

Heather O'Leary nods, ever so slightly, and reaches for a bottle of water. She takes a long drink, trying to get rid of the beer taste, "When? Tonight, Tomorrow? You tell me when you want to shut the place down, and we will do it."

Elizabeth Maxwell nods quickly. "Yeah…" she sighs a little. "We have to do it as quickly as possible… If we can get it tonight, we should."

Heather O'Leary glances at Mike, to see what he thinks of tonight being the attack night…?

Well, she's gotten most of it out of her system. More clear-eyed, and not quite as shuffle-footed, Julie returns to the kitchen.
Michael Donovan leans forward in his chair, "Well, if we can rally the troops quickly enough, we might be able to pull something off. We can't really afford to sit on our hands, since the difference between today and tomorrow is a thousand lives…"

Elizabeth Maxwell nods at Mike. "My thought as well."

Never a good conversation to walk in on. Julie's brow lifts, as she looks to the little gathering. She listens quietly for a little while longer, moving to get herself a glass and fill it with cold water.

Heather O'Leary nods slightly, "I'll get a Squadship Ready, and Liz, you, or Maggie can fly a Sky Fighter… That will get us there, and I am sure we can gather a few more people…" She pauses, and makes a slight motion with her head to the hung-over one, arching an eyebrow.

Michael Donovan pushes himself out of his chair. "What sort of explosive ordinance do we have lying around?" he asks somewhat casually, as though he was asking where the breakfast cereal was kept.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little. "If we're sneaking in, how soon after should the skyfighter start doing air cover? If I went inside, I'd have to run back out to it, when we needed the cover…"

"Too risky, you should stay on the fighter, Elizabeth," Juliet offers as she turns, leaning against the counter as she sips from her glass. "In case we need a fast get away." And she doesn't want her any closer to things than she has to be, especially now.

Heather O'Leary chuckles softly, "Liz, let Maggie Fly Cover… we go in, you could be more helpful inside." To Mike, she answers, "Ham did just get a bunch of explosives from one of Bates' warehouses… Something better than C-4 he claimed." She glances at Julie, and frowns slightly, "She might be able to figure out how to get people out of the Cocoons, though, Dr. Parrish…." She smiles, "Normally, I'd be the first to try and keep her out of danger, but… She is not likely to just stay behind and be… docile…"

Elizabeth Maxwell nods a little bit to Heather. "Right." She glances over to the others then. "Relax, Julie. This isn't near as dangerous as the fake prisoner trade was. I won't be a lot closer to enemy fire than everyone else, this time."

Michael Donovan chuckles lightly at Heather's words. "She does have a point. Elizabeth handles herself better than some of the 'old hats' we've been working with when it comes to these sorts of missions."

Juliet Parrish arches an eyebrow. "You won't be any closer…you're the first one out if you're going in, Liz." Julie isn't going to give in on that one. Smirking faintly, she nods at Michael, then to Heather. "I guess I just get over-cautious when I'm hung over." Right, that's it.

Heather O'Leary shrugs slightly to Julie, "She will stay behind me, at first…." She glances at Liz, and gives her the 'Take it easy' Look. She looks at Mike, "I'll go pull out the Visitor Uniforms and Extra Lasers… Put them in the Living Room, so everyone looks the part. We only have four of the Voice Alterers left though…."

Elizabeth Maxwell rolls her eyes at Heather, but doesn't say anything. "Yeah, very overcautious when hung over." she laughs a little at Julie then.
Michael Donovan shrugs rather simply at that. "Four of them. Four of us. Out of the entire group, we probably have the most experience as far as infiltration goes."

Juliet Parrish just shoots a look at Elizabeth before smiling slightly, and finishing off her glass of water. Let these three smooth out the final plans.

Heather O'Leary moves towards the basement door, nodding slightly to Mike. She opens the door and immediately opens a cabinet. Inside are Red Uniforms, Gold Helmets, and Black Boots. She pulls ten of each down, and moves towards the Living Room with them.
Heather O'Leary moves to the Dining Room .

Michael Donovan takes a deep breath as he regards the uniforms. "You know, I should probably stop buying clothes altogether and just fill my closet with these things. I seem to be wearing 'em more than I do my regular clothes these days."

Juliet Parrish rolls her eyes, setting her glass on the table and moving to take Mike's hand. "Come on." she mutters, before cocking her head towards the door to indicate Elizabeth should precede them.

Elizabeth Maxwell mutters and starts slipping one on herself. "I know the feeling. At least you didn't have to walk right into the enemy's main headquarters in the last month." She finishes putting the uniform on, and checks it and the weapon. "I'm coming…"

(Everyone piles out to the squad vehicle))

Elizabeth Maxwell climbs in and walks down to sit next to Heather, quickly.

Heather O'Leary is sitting behind the controls of the Squad Ship, while people climb in. Hopefully the final count is 10 total, with Maggie going to the Skyfighter.

Michael Donovan sits in the passenger area, but as near the front of the ship as possible, ready to help out in the event that something should go wrong.

Juliet Parrish sits next to Mike, big surprise, ready to elbow him if need be.

Heather O'Leary flips the switch to close the hatch, and calls out, "Next stop… Hell…" She pulls back on the control stick, and the Squad Ship starts to lift off. She has her Laser Rifle resting next to her, ready to tell Backseat drivers how to exit the Squad Ship, if need be.

Elizabeth Maxwell isn't participating in that little game, so just watches the computer next to the flight controls, and taps in anything she thinks probably needs checking, especially potential inbound skyfighters or the like.
A Lone Skyfighter moves to fly Escort on the Resistance Controlled Squad Ship. They form up, and Fly South, heading around LA, and towards San Diego.

- An otherwise quiet flight to San Diego -

Heather O'Leary slowly brings the Squad Ship down to a landing, while the Sky fighter begins circling overhead. She looks around slowly, knowing the Courtyard of the Processing plant will soon be busy. She has already slipped the Voice Alterer on, and now, he voice reverberates like a Visitors, "10 Seconds… We need to get the Doors out to the City Barred as soon as possible. Than we take out the Chock Troopers inside, right?" She wants to be sure everyone knows what to do.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods to Heather and smiles. "Right."

Michael Donovan cracks his knuckles perhaps a little eagerly. "Let's do this."

Juliet Parrish nods her head, silently agreeing before rolling her neck from side to side. At least her hip isn't bothering her today

Heather O'Leary flips a switch, and the hatch opens. She stands up, and grabs her Rifle, and whispers, so as not to reverb quite so bad, "I'll lead the way to the First Door… we have three total… Hopefully we can get them all before someone notices we have…." She shrugs, they are close enough to each other, that it should be possible, and since the Visitors have covered all windows on the first Level with Steel, the only way in or out are those three Doors. She steps down from the Squad Ship.

Elizabeth Maxwell slips down from the Squadship as well, glancing around as she gets out, and nodding to Heather again.

Michael Donovan disembarks just behind Elizabeth, looking around and seeming ready to deal with whatever troubles might be lurking in the shadows.

Juliet Parrish is only a step behind Donovan, quiet herself, and wishing her head wasn't pounding quite so much. Damn Bates.

Heather O'Leary immediately begins walking to the first Set of Doors. She nods to one of the Techs that comes running, and says, in her most commanding voice, the 3 stripes on her Uniform helping there, "Flash Inspection, Deal with it." She motions to Elizabeth, pointing down a Corridor.

All the Shock Troopers, the real ones, that is, are out of sight. Perhaps they are sleeping in the Barracks, or at the mess hall.

Elizabeth Maxwell nods to Heather. "Yes, ma'am." She starts walking down the corridor then, eyes darting around beneath her helmet as she tries to see where anyone in front of her is.

Michael Donovan shrugs helplessly at the techs as he passes, as if to suggest to them that dem's da breaks for not running tight enough a ship. He's only doing his job.

Heather O'Leary glances to Mike and Julie, pointing them down another Corridor. She sends another Resistance/Trooper with Liz, and heads down the third with Kyle, the lovesick one, at her heels. The Rest of the Resistance folks stay by the Squad Ship, waiting for orders, it appears.

Juliet Parrish is quiet, staying back slightly, content not to draw attention to herself individually. For now. As she and Mike are given directions, she nods her head, turning smartly to move in the direction indicated. A glance towards Mike out of the corner of her eye, just to be sure he's following, and she's off.

Elizabeth Maxwell glances back to her partner, nodding once, and heading down her corridor at a brisk pace, glaring at random techs as she goes along, though its covered by the helmet.

Michael Donovan stays by Julie's side as Heather points them in the appropriate direction, keeping pace with her in his best attempt to make it look all nice, proper, and 'rank-and-file.'

Heather O'Leary leads Kyle quickly to the Door down the Corridor, where she closes the Door, and says simply, to the Tech Near By, "Lock it. Until this inspection is over, no one comes in or goes out." She will leave Kyle here to keep his eye on the Guard. She remembers that, and she speaks into her Radio. Another Resistance Trooper heads after Julie and Mike, so they can give the order, and leave a guard on the door.

Elizabeth Maxwell steps up to the door she was assigned to, locking it down, and glancing to her partner. "Keep it locked till we're finished. We'll call you back when we're done." Then she turns, and heads back towards the meet up point.

As she steps through the door, Julie's helmeted head turns to regard the Tech and states, simply, "Lock it and leave it. No one in or out, got it?" She's not got many things to say up her sleeve tonight. Nope, keeping it simple.

Michael Donovan nods firmly at the scurrying techs to emphasize Julie's point. Sort of a silent, 'Yeah, or we'll kick your butts!'

Heather O'Leary speaks softly into a Radio Circuit that only the Resistance Troopers can hear, "Round up the Techs… Mike, Julie, Elizabeth, I think it best if we get to the Courtyard, and keep an eye out for the Shocktroopers that are inside…" She hurries to the Courtyard, watching the remaining non-busy Visitor-Clad Resistance peoples running to follow the orders. She watches patiently, ready to send the 'plant the explosives' once all 15 'Food Service' Techs are rounded up.

Elizabeth Maxwell quietly acknowledges the radio message, glancing around for the techs, and get a few sent to be rounded up herself, on her way back to the courtyard.

Michael Donovan scowls frighteningly at the techs in front of him and Julie. "Alright you worthless worms," he snarls with a rancor that suprises even himself, "Move along!" With a sharp gesture of his weapon, he directs them towards where he wants them to be.

Juliet Parrish smiles faintly under her helmet. She's sure glad someone else took the reins on this mission, let her tell you! And that smile only widens as
Michael growls at the techs. She doesn't say a word, after that, she doesn't have to. She simply gives a rather threatening, though not overtly so, movement of her weapon, moving to follow them along.

The Techs are being rounded up, but what is that flash of black helmet clad Visitor doing. He seems to be watching. Visitor Shock Trooper #577 frowns slightly, and than slips away to the Barracks, to get some friends. Something doesn't seem right. Techs being rounded up by Command Level Visitors… Doors being locked? This is not regular procedure. Maybe his boss, Shock Trooper #336 will know what is going on.

Heather O'Leary sighs softly, seeing that so far the mission seems to be going according to plans. 15 Food Service Visitor Techs are in the Courtyard, and 6 Resistance Members are now off to plant their explosives, and get the 18 cocoons filled with live humans to the Squad Ship. "Everything is right on schedule…"

Visitor Shock Trooper #336 shakes his head. He doesn't know what's going on either. He glances to 577, and to the unit, getting a team rounded up to find out.

Elizabeth Maxwell steps over to Heather after the herding is complete, and smiles, nodding a little bit. "I would say that it's going without a hitch… but that'd probably jinx it."

Heather O'Leary nods slightly and looks at Mike, "Shall we 'deal out the Punishment' to the Food Service Shits?" She has her rifle aimed at them, and is ready to kill them for what she was forced to witness earlier in the day.

Juliet Parrish follows the last couple food service Techs into the room they've been made to gather in, moving around and slightly away from Heather and Elizabeth, almost flanking the Techs. She merely arches an eyebrow, unseen, under her helmet.

Michael Donovan grits his teeth, "Quickly," he says, not too happy with de facto execution, but realizing the fortunes of war make these sorts of things an inevitability. "We can't afford to get too carried away with this."

Heather O'Leary nods, and just starts firing into the Techs. She is more than happy to kill them. She fires, aims again, and fires, over and over.

Visitor Shock Trooper #577 takes the lead on the way to the courtyard. He has his Laser Rifle at the ready, because he has learned that the Resistance is cunning, and this would be just like them… although, how they make themselves sound like Sirians, is beyond his ability to discern. He hears the Laser Blasts, and is ready to fight himself. He breaks into a run, ready to fire as soon as he enters the Courtyard.

The Techs let off a scream of fear as they realize they are going to die. Nothing they can do, as they are not trained for fighting, just getting humans ready for dinner. Maybe they should have payed better attention to the Weapon Classes….

Elizabeth Maxwell nods as the techs are killed, making sure to kill a couple herself, checking around and waiting for the next move.

Juliet Parrish lifts her weapon, and aims…but doesn't fire. Killing someone in combat is one thing, but execution style? Yes, these Techs are creeps, but still…a quick look to Michael, and she lowers her weapon. Heather seems to have an issue to work out.

Heather O'Leary lowers her weapon, as all the techs seem dead. She is still very pale, or should that be, paler than normal, under her helmet. She steps forward and is about to ensure they are all dead, by a laser blast through the head…

Visitor Shock Trooper #577 bursts into the Courtyard, and sees the massacre of the Techs. His Laser Rifle jerks up and he fires on the Female about to put a Laser blast through the head of a tech. Hopefully this is enough of a distraction

Michael Donovan's finger likewise couldn't seem to bring itself to fully depress its trigger. While he seemed to have no qualms about revenge against a heartless witch like Diana, who shot his boy before his very eyes, he can't seem to bring the hammer down on nameless techs who were doing a job, albeit a grisly and gruesome one.

Visitor Shock Trooper #336 and his group are certainly ready, making certain to check their rifles as they swarm in.

Heather O'Leary lets out a loud scream as she takes a laser blast to the middle of her chest. She is knocked completely back to her back, her laser rifle flying out of her hands. She is not going to be able to get her pistol clear in time for it to matter this time.

Ah, but someone firing on them, an armed foe? That's different than the Techs who now lay slaughtered on the floor. Julie doesn't even have time to think as she twists around, her weapon brought up, aimed quickly to the person the shot came from, and a shot fired. Stupid Visitors…doesn't that term usually mean nice people coming over invited? Bastards is much more appropriate as she thinks.

Juliet Parrish knew it was a bad day when she woke up hung over this morning, damn it. And how is she supposed to explain this at work! Her own scream sounds through the room moments after Heather's died out as she, too, is thrown back several feet as the laser hits her square in the chest, landing hard. Her rifle skitters out of her hand, but is within easy reach as she'd wrapped the cloth strap around her arm. Because of this, she manages to pull it back into her hand before she's even really begin to try and get up, and sends off a poorly aimed shot at…someone. Hopefully a bad guy.

Kyle, the love struck Puppet Man comes running out as he Hears the scream of his love. Well, he loves her. He runs to Heather's side, and is caught in the head by a Laser Blast. He drops dead.

Michael Donovan, it would seem, is having a less than stellar week. He's had to watch his son get shot because of a half-baked plan he devised. He nearly got Heather killed in his mad quest for retribution because of said plan. Now, some nameless numbskull got off a lucky shot and hit Julie in the process. Crying out her name, he crouches beside her, determined to keep her safe from further enemy fire as he takes aim at the bastard that hurt her, making it his goal in life to make sure that trooper never takes another shot.

Juliet Parrish grits her teeth. She's hurting, but she's still able to fight, and she'll be damned if she goes down without doing just that. Tightening her grip on her rifle, she aims a little more carefully than her last shot, eyes narrowed behind the helmet, and only slightly blurred by tears. Heather may have just paid, but she'll be damned if she doesn't make #574 pay too.

"Bastard," Juliet growls, ducking her head slightly as the laser bolt flies at her, or more precisely, Michael. You don't mess with her team, and you definitely don't mess with her man! She's hit him before, and she'll do it again. She's a lady with attitude.

The remaining Resistance Members, number 5 now, come to explain that the Plant's machinery is wired to blow. They look around at the carnage, and they all share a look of 'Oh, what the fuck did we miss?' with one another. They move to assist the wounded to the Sky Fighter, one of them, a big strong guy, gathers up Liz, another, even bigger and stronger grabs Mike, two more, big and strong (Seems to be a theme, eh?) gathers Julie and Heather. They are carefully placed in the Sky fighter, before the Resistance folks get the Cocoons loaded. Only… "Who is going to fly us home?" one, the smart one, asks.

Juliet Parrish may be hurt, but hey…she's a doctor first of all. "Mike?" she asks, looking at him as, despite her own wounds, she drags herself out of her seat to look over Mike first, then Liz and Heather, and do what she can for them here.

The squad ship is a direct modification of the Skyfighter, with its midsection expanded from a single compartment to three cabin sections. These ships are used primarily for troop transport, and specialized variations also serve to transport prisoners, refrigerated items, and wounded personnel.

As the Squad Ship lifts off, thanks to the Co-Pilot on Maggie's Skyfighter, the sounds of an explosion start. Just as the Squad Ship gets far enough away, the Explosion rumbles through out the Plant, and it is wiped away for ever. The Resistance Folks got the 18 Cocoons, but currently, they are more concerned with helping their injured Leaders.

(Elizabeth and Heather get taken to their room, post-flight)

The two more seriously hurt girls are carried to their room, and gently laid upon the bed. Someone checks their wounds, but does little real work for them. People with more Medical skills than they have will have to be brought in.

Elizabeth Maxwell lays there after being put on the bed, with the two wounds… meditating horizontally with her eyes closed. Yeah, that's it.

Heather O'Leary is not even pretending to Meditate. She is just, plain and simple, out light the proverbial Light. Two Smoldered Spots on her Clothes, one over her right breast, the other on her stomach. She is in no shape to even meditate on meditating.

Elizabeth Maxwell certainly isn't really meditating either, with two similar spots. She's out completely cold, and lays there as such.
